> ## Agent Instructions
> Enclave in these docs is the code and cloud security platform at enclave.ai. It is not Open Enclave, Intel SGX or other hardware enclaves, or enclave.gg.
> People use Enclave in the web app at https://app.enclave.ai or the desktop app. These docs describe no public Enclave API or CLI, so don't invent endpoints, commands, or config files.
> Connecting an integration needs a person to sign in and approve access in a browser. Tell the user the exact step to take instead of saying you completed it.

# Getting started chat

> Enclave walks you through setup in a short conversation when you sign up.

When you create a new organization, Enclave opens a conversation called **Getting started**. It asks what you use, helps you connect it, confirms what it can see, and then starts the task you signed up for.

![The Getting started conversation, with Enclave's welcome and its first question card](https://mintcdn.com/enclave/bhnFMg4ldiTYrwZX/images/onboarding/getting-started.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=bhnFMg4ldiTYrwZX\&q=85\&s=5c8aba1245a21c337231e425bf35b01d)

## How it works

**1. Tell Enclave about your setup**

Enclave asks where your code lives and where it runs. Pick every option that applies, or choose **Other** and type your answer. Enclave doesn't ask about anything it can already see.

**2. Connect what's missing**

Enclave shows a card for each integration you still need. Click **Connect** and follow the provider's sign-in. The **Todos** list tracks what's left.

You need the **Owner** or **Admin** role to connect integrations.

**3. Confirm coverage**

When you're done, Enclave checks [Coverage](https://docs.enclave.ai/onboarding/coverage.md) and tells you what works, what's broken, and what's still missing.

**4. Bring in your team (optional)**

Enclave offers to connect [Slack](https://docs.enclave.ai/integrations/slack.md), [Jira](https://docs.enclave.ai/integrations/jira.md), or [Linear](https://docs.enclave.ai/integrations/linear.md), and to invite teammates. You can skip this.

**5. Start your first task**

Enclave shows a card that opens a new [Research](https://docs.enclave.ai/research/sessions.md) conversation with a first message written for you. Review it and send it.

![Enclave summarizes what it can see and offers a card to check whether you're affected by a CVE](https://mintcdn.com/enclave/bhnFMg4ldiTYrwZX/images/onboarding/handoff.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=bhnFMg4ldiTYrwZX\&q=85\&s=6b9fe0ff9309b8832016d7ca6d6d8c44)

If you signed up from the [Threat Feed](https://docs.enclave.ai/threat-feed.md), the card checks whether that CVE affects you.

## Good to know

* You can leave at any time. Enclave works with whatever you connected, and tells you what it can't see yet.
* To come back, open **Getting started** from **Recents** in the sidebar.
* You can also connect integrations from **Settings → Integrations**. See [Connect code](https://docs.enclave.ai/onboarding/connect-code.md) and [Connect cloud](https://docs.enclave.ai/onboarding/connect-cloud.md).
* Members who join an existing organization skip this conversation.
