Enclave meters AI work in credits. Your balance is shared by everyone in your organization.

What uses credits

Credits pay for the AI work Enclave does for you:
  • Research messages and the background agents they start
  • Workflow runs, including PR review, repository learning, and security hunts
  • Analysis such as CVE research and exploitability checks
Cost depends on how much the model reads and writes, so larger models and longer tasks use more. Viewing findings, Coverage, and other pages doesn’t use credits.

Your balance

Your balance is your plan’s monthly allowance plus any credits you bought.
  • Monthly allowance: your plan grants credits at the start of each billing period. Unused allowance expires when the next period starts. See Plans for how many each plan includes.
  • Purchased credits: credits you buy don’t expire. Enclave uses your allowance first and your purchased credits after that.
Settings → Billing shows what you have left, what you’ve spent since the period started, and how many credits you’ve bought.

Buy more credits

In Settings → Billing, click Add $25**, **Add $50, or Add $100, or enter another amount and click Add. Only owners and admins can buy credits.

When you run out

When your balance reaches zero:
  • You can’t send new Research messages, start workflow runs, or start a new analysis.
  • Work that’s already running finishes.
  • You can still view everything in Enclave.
Buy more credits, or wait for your next allowance, to continue.

Keep usage under control

  • Keep sessions focused. Start a new session for each topic instead of letting a long one drift.
  • Pick the right model. Use larger models for hard reasoning and smaller ones for simple questions.
  • Scope your workflows. Use trigger conditions so runs start only when they matter, and set a budget on each run.
  • Choose which repositories get PR review. Turn off PR review in Coverage → Repositories for repositories that don’t need it.
